Earlier this year, we had the honor of hosting 500 Startups as they brought their PreMoney event to Miami, including a wonderful kickoff event on Key Biscayne (who could forget that beautiful, starry night? It wasn’t cold at all…).
Today, we couldn’t be more excited to officially welcome our friends at 500 to #MiamiTech, as they take their next step in Miami: opening the Miami Distro Accelerator, with the inaugural class starting this September, out of our very own <a title="Building co-working in Miami" href="http://www.building original site.co” target=”_blank”>BUILDING.co!
Thanks to support from The Knight Foundation, the Simkins family fund, and Softlayer – the Distro program brings 500 staff and mentors from Silicon Valley, Mexico, Argentina and Brazil, together starting on September 28th for a 10-week growth-focused training and implementation program for companies who have previously raised at least USD$150,000 in funding from other investors.
Target companies will be post-seed teams from South Florida, or startups looking to expand regionally across Latin America, as well as throughout the Spanish-speaking market in the U.S. and beyond.
Participating companies will receive $250,000 in funding from 500 Startups, with $50k allocated to the Distro Accelerator program fee and another $50k earmarked for growth spend.
More on the Dojo experience, and what it takes to become a part of it here.
Come meet the team from 500 and see the space that they’ll call home at our Grand Opening party! RSVP here.
